Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 September 2026

This notice explains how Limelight Hair Ltd uses personal information when you visit our website or contact the salon.

Who is responsible for your information?

Limelight Hair Ltd is the data controller for website enquiries. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, please contact Barrie at 177 Kings Road, Pontcanna, Cardiff, CF11 9DF, call 029 2297 0444.

What information do we collect?

When you contact us, we receive the contact details and information you choose to share with us. Please only include information needed to answer your question. Do not send payment-card details or sensitive medical information in an enquiry; discuss treatment-related concerns privately with your stylist.

Our website host also processes technical information, such as IP addresses, requested pages, browser information and access times, to deliver and protect the website.

Why do we use it?

We do not use customer details to send marketing messages or offers. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing list.

Who receives your information?

Enquiry emails are handled by Barrie using the salon’s Microsoft Hotmail mailbox. IONOS provides our website hosting. There is no enquiry form on this website.

Our hosting and email providers process information needed to supply and secure their services. We may also disclose information where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Processing outside the UK

Our service providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the UK. Microsoft explains its processing locations and transfer protections, including adequacy decisions and contractual safeguards, in its privacy statement. Contact us if you would like further information about the arrangements relevant to your enquiry.

How long do we keep enquiry emails?

We keep enquiry emails for six months. If particular information must be retained longer to meet a legal obligation or deal with an unresolved complaint or legal claim, we retain only what is necessary for that purpose. This six-month period relates to enquiries, rather than separate records needed for salon services or accounting.

Your privacy rights

Under UK data protection law, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, correct inaccurate details, request deletion, restrict how it is used, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or request a portable copy where applicable. These rights depend on the circumstances. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Please contact us using the details above. We may need to check your identity before releasing information. We normally respond within one month; if a lawful extension is needed, we will explain why.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator.

Cookies & similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Our locally stored Google review excerpts do not load Google tracking cookies. External websites, including the SumUp gift-card checkout, have their own privacy and cookie settings.

WordPress uses essential cookies for authorised administrators who sign in, including cookies that support sign-in and remember display preferences. These are separate from simply browsing the public salon pages.

Your cookie choice

Our cookie banner lets you accept or reject optional cookies. Essential technologies needed to run the website remain available whichever choice you make. We remember your choice in your browser’s local storage under “limelight-cookie-choice-v1” for 180 days, so you do not have to choose on every page. This preference is not used for advertising.

Optional Google map

The Google Maps preview on our Find Us page stays blocked until you select “Accept optional cookies”. Once accepted, the map can load automatically when you visit that page. Google receives technical information such as your IP address and browser details and may use cookies or associate activity with your Google account, depending on your settings. See Google’s Privacy Policy for information about its processing and international safeguards.

You can reject optional cookies and use our written address instead. To change your choice or withdraw consent, select “Cookie settings” in the footer and then “Reject optional cookies”. This removes any loaded map on the current page and blocks future map loading. “Hide Google map” hides it for that page visit without changing your saved consent.

Withdrawing consent does not delete information Google has already received or cookies already set. You can manage these through your browser and Google privacy settings. Clearing your browser’s site data also clears your saved preference, so the banner will appear again.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page when our website or the way we use enquiry information changes. The date above shows the latest revision.
